The QuicktimeVR format requires a plugin, is larger and therefore higher quality, but takes longer to download. This format is typically used by people with a high speed connection. If you don't have the Quicktime plugin you can download it for free from Apple by clicking the download link below.

The Java format is configured to be smaller and does not require a plugin - it is best for dial-up connections or for people who do not wish to install the Quicktime plugin.
