Victoria's cultural scene is second to none. Our fine art galleries include the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria with its permanent collection of over 15,000 objets d'arts, and Maltwood Art Museum at the University of Victoria. Don't miss the Stinking Fish studio tours in August, when Metchosin and Sooke artists show their wares of pottery, paintings and other remarkable miscellany. The Moss Street paint-in, Gorge waterway artists at work and June's "Potter in the Garden" are but a few events to see. First Nations art, carvings and jewellery are often on display around town and in the galleries, not just in the fine Victoria museums.
