PEOPLE AND PETS AND US

The Rose Suite in our manor house lends itself exceptionally well to accommodating your furry family member.  With two enclosed garden courtyards, private entrances and a location just a block from the oceanfront parks with off-leash dog runs and beaches, we welcome pre-approved pets.  There no charge for hosting your small pal, but we would need to bill for extra cleaning or repairs above and beyond a reasonable expectation.

If you would like to visit our beautiful little seaside area of Victoria with your pet, please let us know and give us some details about him/her.  We will send you our pet policy, which has been well thought out with regard to both our pet-accompanied and non-pet guests. A copy of this information appears below. This fore-thought will ensure that pets will have as good an experience at our B&B as we expect their humans to have, and will allow for the safety and comfort of all our guests.  


Your pet must...  
-be an adult.  Our B&B is adult-oriented for both humans and pets.
-be house-trained, friendly, well behaved.  Yes, more than can be said for some humans!
-refrain from chewing anything other than food or personal toys.  This could be costly for your human.
-be quiet in respect of other guests.  (No snoring!)
-keep its human on a leash if outside in the courtyards or on the streets.  Some non-pet humans are uncomfortable with touchy-feely pets.
-accompany you when away from the B&B.  May not be left unattended in suite unless during breakfast...see below*
-be cleaned and dried if necessary before entering your suite.
-stay off furniture and bed please.  Perhaps bring your favourite doggy rug for the floor(or we will provide one), or if your pet just HAS to sleep on the bed, please inform us and we will provide an alternate bed cover; likewise with the couches.
-respect that the common area is for human guests only.  No offence, but sometimes humans are allergic to pets.
-be on a flea-program and have up-to-date immunizations.  We have an indoor cat in our section of the house.

For our part, we will...
-provide breakfast in your suite unless your pet would like to enjoy the front garden courtyard while you are in the dining area.  He/she is welcome to adore you from outside the glass door!  *Alternatively the Rose kitchen is a separate room, so if he/she is the peaceful type this is a good place to wait during breakfast.

And of course...
-Please clear your pet's droppings from the grounds and street if necessary- bags provided.
-Doggy daycare referrals available.
-Human guests must take all measures to prevent their dogs from loud, frequent or habitual barking, howling, crying or yelping.  This applies to their humans too, of course.Thank you for your understanding.
