WORLD CLASS TRAILS CLOSE BY

World Class Trails for all to enjoy.
The Galloping Goose trail winds through 50 kilometres of West Coast forests and coastal views.  It takes you along the Gorge, which is an inland tidal waterway, crossing this to the Selkirk area where the canoe club practices.  Ride your bikes or rent from the nearby shop located right at the start of the Goose.  Branch off the trail towards Swan Lake and spend some time watching the variety of wildlife at the sanctuary.   The Lochside Trail will take you all the way to BC Ferries, through Sidney and past many interesting sites.  We are centrally located, at the edge of downtown Victoria, so you can avoid riding or walking past congested areas on your way to these trails.

FIRST NATIONS ADVENTURES

First Nations Culture of Vancouver Island and Victoria.
Experience Vancouver Island's Aboriginal peoples as First Nations guides interpret their culture on a 2 hour paddling adventure.  Set out in a 42 foot authentic dugout war canoe and opt to enjoy a traditional salmon bar-be-que.

You can visit Duncan and see the First Nations cultural centre at Quw'utsun' where you can see aboriginal dancing, authentic Totem Poles, and dine on traditional foods.  http://www.quwutsun.ca

We always suggest a minimum of three nights to take advantage of these extras.  You will need a car for at least part of your visit. If you need an early start to take advantage of our long daylight hours in summer, arrange for the continental breakfast to be available in your room the night before.  You can take it with you or enjoy it at your leisure.
